1/35 T-34 / 85

THE BOX CONTAINS:
1 MODEL KIT - 1 LIQUID CEMENT - 1 TANK GUIDE - WORLD OF TANKS DECALS - 1 INVITE CODES - 1 BONUS CODE

Arguably the best medium tank of World War II, the T-34-85 was a crucial factor in the outcome of the conflict. Over 35,000 were produced, meaning that it also came to represent, from a Soviet standpoint, the supremacy of socialist industry over capitalism.

It was the antithesis of German over-engineering. Designers favoured simple solutions that used fewer resources. It was therefore available in greater numbers – a telling factor as Axis forces were pushed out of the Soviet Union and back to Berlin.

The T-34-85 was an up-gunned version of the T-34 tank which carried a 76mm gun that was insufficient at dealing with tanks like the Tiger and Panther. A new turret allowed the installation of an 85mm gun that was capable of penetrating German armour with greater ease. This tank also represented the first proper mass production of a sloped-hull design which meant that the armour could afford to be thinner while still providing the same effective protection. Coupled with sloping on the turret, the survivability of the tank compared to the original T-34 design was much better.

SUPER DECALS SHEET FOR 5 VERSIONS - COLOR INSTRUCTION SHEET

The Savoia Marchetti SM 81 began service in the bombing units of the Regia Aeronautica (Italian Royal Air Force) around the middle of the 1930’s. It operated in the campaign in Ethiopia, in the Spanish Civil War and during World War II. It had three engines with low wings and a fixed undercarriage. It was propelled by 3 Alfa Romeo 125 RC 35 engines with 650 Hp each, or, successively, by more powerful Piaggio P. X RC.35 700 Hp engines which brought it to a maximum speed of 340 Km/h. Armed with 6 7.7 mm Breda-Safat machine guns, it had an offensive payload of 2,000 kg in bombs. At the time of its entrance in service, it was one of the most modern bombers in the world, but at the start of World War II, by then surpassed, it was predominantly used for night time missions. For this reason it was nicknamed “bat”. Nevertheless over 300 SM 81’s equipped the Regia Aeronautica squadrons on various fronts, from the Aegean Sea to North Africa.

1/35 15cm Panzerwerfer 42 auf SWS

COLOUR INSTRUCTIONS SHEET

The Schwerer Wehrmachtschlepper (sWS) was developed as a medium half-track and used to transport supplies to front-line troops or as a towing vehicle for the light artillery. However, on the large rear flat load compartment some other applications have been developed. One modification was the Panzerwerfer 42 auf sWS, a 10 barreled 15 cm Nebelwerfer 42 rocket launched placed over an armored ammunition storage compartment. The rocket launcher, developed as device to create smoke screens, was soon used as real artillery able to launch high-explosive ammunition. It could shoot the rockets with impressive and deadly effects. The original structure of the transport vehicle was strengthened with additional shields to protect the crew from the enemy fire and from the negative effects of the rocket launcher.

1/35 RSO/03 with Pak 40

COLOUR INSTRUCTION SHEET

In order to cope with the poor road conditions on the Eastern front, the Germans built tracked tractors to tow all types of vehicles and also serve to carry various loads from ammunition and food supplies. The official description of this vehicle was “Raupenschlepper-Ost” (tracked tractor-East). The RSO was built by the Austrian manufacturer Steyr-works. It had a commercial-type pressed steel cab and a wooden cargo body. The next versions, as the RSO/03 built by Klockner-Humbolt-Deutz AG, had a simpler, soft-top, slab-sided metal cab. It proved ideal for the mud and slush conditions of the Russian front. Thanks to its “off road” capabilities it was used as artillery and anti-tank gun as the largely used 75 mm. Type 82 Kubelwagen is one of the most famous military cars of the Second World War. It was designed by the engineer Ferdinand Porsche and produced by the German manufacturer Volkswagen. The project was born to have a simple vehicle, easy to build and easy to maintain and repair. The overall vehicle design is without bends and the bodywork plates are flat. Great simplicity even in the layout of the frame : just a central tube and the back support for the engine and the gearbox. The Kubelwagen, thanks to its petrol engine with a displacement of 998 cm3, was able to reach the max speed of 80 Km/h. The vehicle did not have 4x4 traction but it was extremely reliable on all types of terrain and it was present on all fronts, often in very tough environmental conditions, where the German Army fought during the entire World War II. The Kubelwagen could be armed with a support for a MG34 or MG42 machine gun.
