The Team Lotus 72, winner of the 1970 F1 championship, featured side-mounted radiators which resulted in a revolutionary wedge-shaped design. It had a powerful Ford Cosworth DFV V8 engine fitted onto an aluminium monocoque frame and featured inboard brake discs, a torsion bar suspension, and inboard dampers. The 1971 season was challenging and the team finished winless, but the 1972 season saw Team Lotus enter the 72D, which featured modifications including a refined induction pod and brake air intakes. Adorned with a black and gold livery, the car was driven by Emerson Fittipaldi to 5 victories, which gave him his first F1 title. This is a 1/350 model of the Japanese Navy Submarine I-400 with transparent hangar parts. Created as part of a daring plan to attack major cities in the United States and the Panama Canal in the last stages of WWII, these three technologically advanced I-400 class large aircraft carrier submarines never had the chance to see action due to the surrender of Japan.

After finishing the model, you can admire the 'Seiran' transparent B parts allowing you to easily see the inside of the hangar.
The airplanes are also made of transparent parts allowing you to leave the canopy unpainted, giving a realistic finish. -Photo etched parts for guard rails, torpedo screws and fins, and display stand are included.

The Tyrrell P34 is the only 6-wheeled F1 race car ever to compete in the history of F1. It caused a lot of fanfare and controversy when it was introduced in 1976. This is a 1/10 R/C assembly kit model of the Tyrrell P34 which raced at the 1977 Monaco GP, which had a different rear wing and engine cover than the car which raced at the Japanese GP.

In 1992, Tamiya released a 1/10 scale R/C assembly kit of the Nissan R91CP, the winner of the 1992 24 Hours of Daytona. This re-release features the same chassis components of the 1992 original.

The ABS bathtub chassis incorporates resin space frames and a front FRP lower deck to give the chassis superb strength. Suspension features a front independent kingpin/coil spring and a rear 3-point setup with 1.5mm thick T-bar and CVA oil damper. Combined with high-grip sponge tires, it provides superb road-holding capability. In addition, ground clearance adjustment is possible for both the front and rear. A Direct-Drive 2WD system offers sharp throttle response and features a ball differential.
